Bapco HSSA glues a variety of materials such as wood, metals, rubber, fabric, most plastics, cardboard, polyethylene and concrete, and decorative laminates. It is ideal for permanent bonds that require good initial bond strength. It provides good temperature resistance and if it is protected from contamination, it has an open time of several hours. The high solids content reduces the risk of minor application because the application is clearly visible on the treated surface. First, check a small sample of materials to ensure the suitability of the product for the application. For example, some vinyls contain large amounts of plasticizer, which can eventually migrate and soften the bond. If in doubt, give it a try first. Do not use on elastic PVC.
